Most administrators and helpdesks are very familiar with the following situation. After a computer is reinstalled a user calls and tells them they are missing their address book in Outlook. You spend a lot of time digging in backups and cannot find any address in his/her address book at any point in timeā¦.
After investigating a little further it will turn out that the user never saved an address to his/her address book but instead relied on the auto complete feature of outlook.
